Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to lead our accounts payable team. This role is essential in enhancing departmental processes and fostering strong interdepartmental relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of accounting expertise, leadership capabilities, and project management experience to effectively guide the accounts payable function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of 11, including direct supervision of an analyst and two payment supervisors, each managing a group of four.
  • Ensure efficient disbursement processing by verifying invoice documentation, accurate ledger coding, and necessary approvals.
  • Supervise daily departmental operations to guarantee timely and precise completion of tasks.
  • Maintain comprehensive financial, vendor, and landlord records.
  • Compile and analyze financial data for management reporting.
  • Develop and enforce budgets, policies, and controls to enhance accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain reporting for internal KPIs, such as turnaround times and payment cycles.
  • Evaluate current KPIs and set ambitious targets for performance improvement.
  • Assist in landlord audits to uphold financial integrity.
  • Utilize technology and automation to improve operational efficiency and manage working capital effectively.
  • Build and sustain productive relationships with internal teams, including Procurement, Legal, Tax, and Treasury.
  • Communicate and uphold performance standards for both individual and team achievements.
  • Manage payment schedules to ensure timely processing of accounts payable and lease payments globally, coordinating with various partners to avoid late payments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a dynamic environment, preferably with international exposure and in a leadership role.
  • Preferred certification as a Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP).
  • Familiarity with lease accounting systems and financial management software.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a diligent work ethic.
  • Proven leadership abilities and team motivation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Capability to develop and nurture an effective team.
  • High level of attention to detail and focus on operational efficiency.
  • Ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
  • Proficient in business solutions and bookkeeping software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
