Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our Global Payments team. This role is essential in enhancing departmental processes across the North America region while fostering strong interdepartmental relationships. The ideal candidate will possess robust accounting expertise, leadership capabilities, and project management experience to effectively oversee North American operations and collaborate with EMEA and APAC teams. The Accounting Manager will supervise a team of accountants and auditors, ensuring timely and efficient processing of all invoices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead an 11-member team, including direct supervision of an analyst and two payments supervisors, each managing a team of four.
  • Oversee disbursement processing, ensuring proper invoice documentation, accurate general ledger coding, and necessary approvals.
  • Manage routine departmental tasks to guarantee accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain comprehensive financial, vendor, and landlord records.
  • Compile, analyze, and present financial data to senior management.
  • Develop, implement, and refine budgets, policies, and departmental controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain reporting for internal team KPIs, such as Turn Times and Pay Cycle timing, utilizing tools like PeopleSoft.
  • Evaluate current KPIs and set ambitious targets for performance improvement.
  • Support periodic audits to ensure financial integrity in landlord dealings.
  • Utilize technology and automation to enhance operational efficiency and manage working capital effectively.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with various internal teams, including Procurement, Legal, Tax, and Treasury.
  • Communicate individual and team performance standards clearly.
  • Oversee payment schedules through effective management of accounts payable and lease payment processing globally, coordinating with cross-functional partners to ensure timely vendor and lease payments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably with global exposure and in a leadership role.
  • Preferred: Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification.
  • Experience with lease accounting systems (e.g., CoStar) and financial management systems (e.g., PeopleSoft).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a diligent work ethic.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capacity to develop and sustain an effective team.
  • High attention to detail and a focus on operational efficiency.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
