Position Overview:

The Accounting Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily functions of our accounting division. This position entails supervising and assessing daily operations, ensuring financial accuracy through the development and implementation of effective systems for data collection, analysis, verification, and reporting. Collaboration with the financial management team is essential to handle various financial responsibilities, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the accounting team responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget management.
  • Recruit, hire, and evaluate accounting personnel, fostering their professional development.
  • Design and implement training programs for new hires and identify ongoing training needs for existing staff.
  • Establish internal controls and guidelines for financial transactions and budget processes.
  • Oversee the preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards in periodic financial reporting.
  • Manage tax planning and ensure timely filing of corporate tax returns.
  • Conduct audits to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, coordinating with external auditors as necessary.
  • Provide management with insights on financial objectives and policies.
  • Conduct financial analyses focusing on capital investments, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant governmental regulations.
  • Stay informed on the latest regulatory and legislative changes.
  • Process Accounts Payable invoices efficiently.
  • Handle Accounts Receivable tasks, including aging reports and cash applications.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting Management, preferably in the flooring installation or construction sectors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in Spanish, are strongly encouraged to apply.
