The Accounting Manager at Diverzify plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily functions of our accounting department. This position involves supervising, monitoring, and assessing daily operations, with a focus on establishing financial integrity through the development and implementation of systems for data collection, analysis, verification, and reporting. Collaboration with our financial management team is essential to effectively manage financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and tax compliance audits. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities to generate comprehensive financial reports and forecasts. A proactive problem-solving approach and team management skills are crucial for success in this role, ensuring our financial operations are both accurate and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the accounting team responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget development.
  • Recruit, hire, and evaluate accounting and finance personnel, conducting performance assessments.
  • Coordinate training initiatives for new hires and identify ongoing training needs for existing staff.
  • Establish internal controls and protocols for accounting transactions and budget formulation.
  • Oversee the preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Ensure the timely production of financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and reporting standards.
  • Manage tax planning throughout the fiscal year and oversee the filing of the annual corporate tax return.
  • Conduct audits to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, coordinating with external auditors as necessary.
  • Provide management with recommendations regarding short- and long-term financial strategies and policies.
  • Deliver financial analysis focusing on capital investments, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Stay informed on the latest regulatory and legislative changes.
  • Process Accounts Payable invoices.
  • Handle Accounts Receivable tasks, including aging reports, cash applications, underbilling management, and subcontractor payroll.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting Management within the Flooring Installation or Construction Management sectors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in Spanish, are strongly encouraged to apply.
