Job Description

The Account Executive is responsible for acquiring and servicing new and existing clients within an assigned territory. This involves working with school administrators to assess their needs and find ways to partner with them on solutions that will help them better serve their students.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably in the education or technology sector. They will have a strong understanding of the education industry and familiarity with EdTech products and services.

The Account Executive will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maintain and/or expand sales within an assigned territory, as well as closing sales of prospective customers to meet sales goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acquiring new clients through prospecting and developing leads through cold calling and referral channels
  • Working with customers to understand their overall objectives and requirements, and preparing a plan to identify how short- and long-term needs may be met
  • Maintaining new and existing account relationships through regular customer contact, and advising on new products and service offerings
  • Developing and implementing strategies to maintain and/or expand sales within an assigned territory, and closing sales of prospective customers to meet sales goals
  • Collaborating closely with the marketing team to develop targeted prospecting campaigns and strategies

The Account Executive will be a key member of the sales team, working closely with other departments to coordinate sales efforts and resolve complex issues. They will be responsible for maintaining complete and accurate client data in the appropriate systems, and will be expected to effectively communicate with Key Accounts and corporate staff.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of success in B2B sales, preferably in the education or technology sector, and will have a proven ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a results-oriented atmosphere.
