Job Summary:

The San Diego KOA Resort is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Front Desk Department Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience from reservation to departure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the reservation/registration process, including proactively managing reservations and optimizing occupancy, yield, and guest satisfaction.
  • Meet with the Assistant General Manager individually once per week to discuss departmental goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate with other team leaders as necessary to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Assist with the hiring and training of new staff members, including orientation and onboarding.
  • Supervise and lead the Front Desk team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Cover shifts as necessary to ensure adequate staffing and maintain high levels of customer service.
  • Help resolve customer service issues and coordinate recovery efforts.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, staff, and management to ensure a positive and professional experience.

Requirements:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week, with a schedule that includes one weekend day and availability on holidays.
  • Hourly rate: $24/hour and up depending on experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in customer service, tourism, or hospitality, with leadership experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other internet applications.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods of time.
  • Valid driver's license required.
