Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Quality will be responsible for overseeing the execution of the quality management system and driving a proactive quality focus at the ATI Specialty Materials Titanium manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of quality leaders responsible for the daily management of the quality function at one or more ATI manufacturing sites.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership skills to manage and provide development opportunities for Quality team members.
  • Manage quality components of internal and external qualification of key production assets and process changes.
  • Report and provide guidance to leadership on quality issues, trends, and opportunities.
  • Interface with external customer quality and technical representatives to manage quality and manufacturing site audits.
  • Manage the maintenance of quality records and procedural documents.
  • Support the internal and accreditation audit program.
  • Support APQP implementation to drive proactive quality actions and decision making.
  • Support initiatives in Product Quality Planning tools such as APQP, PFMEA, 8D, MSA, and PPAP.
  • Serve as a quality resource for cross-functional teams on problem identification, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Lead best practice initiatives to improve quality.
  • Play a key role in developing a culture of safety and quality as a core value by demonstrating leadership and providing education to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with all ATI business units to ensure knowledge and experiences are shared across the organization.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science Engineering, technical, or business related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • 5 years of experience leading a quality organization in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading Quality initiatives in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience leading functional teams and projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AS9100, ISO9001, AS13100, Nadcap.
  • Lean Principles.
  • APQP, PFMEA, PPAP Processes.
  • Training and Development Principles.
