About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgical Engineer to join our team at ATI. As a key member of our Specialty Materials business unit, you will be responsible for product engineering, resolving metallurgical issues, and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Engineering: Develop and implement new products and processes to meet customer specifications and drive business growth.
  • Metallurgical Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve metallurgical issues that arise during production, ensuring high-quality products and minimizing downtime.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet or exceed customer specifications and industry standards, and implement quality control measures to prevent defects.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to commercial teams during customer engagement, including on-site and off-site meetings.
  • Communication: Communicate results to management, colleagues, and customers through written reports and oral presentations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Materials Science Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience: Working knowledge of wrought processing and experience in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work in a team environment, and strong communication skills.
