Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Service Representative to join our team at Palomar Health Medical Group. As the face of our organization, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in patients, answering any questions or concerns they may have
  • Manage patient flow, ensuring that patients are seen in a timely manner
  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Collect patient insurance information and verify coverage
  • Prepare and file patient forms, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
  • Balance daily monies and ensure accuracy of batch summaries
  • Make recommendations to improve processes and procedures to enhance patient satisfaction and quality
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; minimum one year of experience in a customer service position, preferably in a medical practice setting
  • Working knowledge of contracted insurances, patient benefits, and third-party requirements preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
