Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our team at California Protons Cancer Therapy Center. As a key member of our front office team, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Accurately register patients, gathering and entering relevant information into our system, and verifying demographics and insurance details.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments with patients, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with our clinical teams.
  • Ensure all necessary forms are completed correctly and provide assistance as needed to patients and families.
  • Work collaboratively with our nursing, imaging, and radiation therapy teams to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.
  • Multi-task with ease, scanning forms, scheduling appointments, and answering phone calls while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist in gathering reports, statistics, and outcomes for the department as needed, and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and internet research.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to identify and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to maintain HIPAA confidentiality at all times.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to de-escalate issues and provide a positive experience for patients and families.
  • Ability to adapt, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience, with a strong background in healthcare, call center, or patient advocacy.
Qualifications
  • Minimum one year of experience in a front office and/or business medical office position.
  • Radiation Oncology experience a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, patient expectations, and escalate issues to appropriate management.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
