Job Overview

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide full-time support in the emergency department of Corewell Health Gerber Hospital. This role involves in-person, 8-hour shifts, contributing to the dynamic environment of emergency care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients' health needs and strive to meet them effectively.
  • Gather and analyze patient medical histories.
  • Track patient progress and maintain accurate records of treatments and medical procedures.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine medical tasks.
  • Foster a trusting and compassionate atmosphere for patients.
  • Adhere strictly to healthcare regulations and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency medicine.
    • Consider our post-graduate program if you lack EM experience.
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program with a focus on emergency medicine.
    • NP candidates must possess FNP with an emergency medicine graduate certificate or substantial EM experience, or PNP with significant ED experience.
    • AGACNP or PNP-AC certifications alone are not acceptable due to age range limitations in patient encounters.
  • Current licensure and registration in the State of Michigan.
  • DEA licensure and ACLS certification are required.
  • Ability to commute reliably.
