Exciting Opportunity for a Head of Science and Technology
Join the senior leadership team at Ware Malcomb, where we are seeking a Head of Science and Technology to lead our efforts in this dynamic market. As a pivotal member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving design excellence, fostering growth, and enhancing profitability while managing staff and nurturing client relationships.
Your role will involve creating a collaborative and positive team environment, ensuring we meet our business objectives. You will spearhead the expansion of our Science and Technology division by improving design processes, achieving financial goals, mentoring team members, and broadening our practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage finances, business development, operations, and team dynamics within the Science and Technology division.
- Ensure all proposals and contracts are properly executed.
- Review and approve project budget reports prior to contract finalization.
- Oversee organizational structures and conduct ongoing assessments of financial forecasts and staffing requirements.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure smooth operations of the division.
- Promote a positive culture and morale among team members.
- Monitor monthly project revenue forecasts and provide updates as necessary.
- Prepare monthly business reports and engage in regular meetings.
- Drive business development and maintain client relationships to enhance market presence.
- Participate in networking events and establish regular meetings with industry contacts.
- Utilize the company’s CRM system to track business development activities.
- Review workload schedules and attend scheduling meetings.
- Proactively address any project liability concerns.
- Maintain regular communication with the team through scheduled meetings.
- Work with the Talent Acquisition team to recruit new talent.
- 10+ years of experience in Science and Technology project management.
- Proven leadership experience in managing teams or studios.
- Strong background in developing and sustaining client relationships.
- Licensed Architect preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
- Ability to cultivate a supportive team environment.
