The Head of Science and Technology will be responsible for steering the design, growth, revenue, profitability, staff management, and client engagement within the Science & Technology sector. This position emphasizes creating a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere while achieving our strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage finances, business development, operations, and team member oversight for the Science & Technology division.
  • Ensure all proposals and contracts are properly established and executed.
  • Review and approve all project budget reports prior to contract finalization.
  • Maintain the organizational structure of the group and continuously assess office forecasts, financials, and staffing requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to oversee the operational functions of the Science & Technology division.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and ensure the wellbeing of the team.
  • Monitor monthly project revenue forecasts and provide weekly updates as necessary.
  • Compile a monthly business report and engage in monthly team meetings.
  • Drive business development initiatives and cultivate client relationships to enhance market presence.
  • Participate in networking events and establish regular meetings with industry contacts.
  • Utilize the Ware Malcomb CRM system to track all business development activities.
  • Review the workload and attend scheduling meetings to ensure efficient project management.
  • Proactively address any project liability concerns.
  • Maintain regular communication with the team through scheduled meetings.
  • Work alongside the Talent Acquisition team to recruit new talent.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in Science & Technology project management.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing a team or studio.
  • Expertise in developing and sustaining client relationships.
  • Licensure as an Architect is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
  • Ability to lead and nurture a collaborative team environment.
