Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of accountants and accounting clerks, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including GAAP financial statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the posting of cash, entering payables, and preparing financial statements for individual Trust clients.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of refunds, transfers, and NSF's for client accounts.
  • Reconcile bank statements for claims and operating accounts, and research and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Presentation of financial reports to clients, ensuring clear and concise communication of financial information.

Requirements:

  • College degree or equivalent years of experience in accounting, with a focus on ERISA benefit plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and QuickBooks.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of accountants and accounting clerks.
