Electronics Repair Specialist

General Purpose
As a vital member of our team, you will provide expert support in the repair of various electronic devices, utilizing your technical skills and problem-solving abilities. Your role will involve addressing issues with cell phones, tablets, light fixtures, and more, ensuring customers receive comprehensive solutions for their electronic needs in a professional and courteous manner.
Key Responsibilities
Device Repair and Technical Duties
- Prioritize and execute repairs on cell phones, tablets, and other electronic devices.
- Replace screens, batteries, and other essential components on smartphones and tablets.
- Rebuild battery packs for cordless tools and other devices as required.
- Replace cords, sockets, and components on lamps and light fixtures.
- Assist in weekly inventory counts to maintain accurate records of repair supplies.
- Manage inventory rotation and stocking processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Cut keys and reprogram key fob remotes as needed.
Customer Interaction and Sales
- Welcome customers, assess their needs, and provide answers to their inquiries.
- Recommend additional products and services to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Communicate directly with customers regarding the status of their device repairs.
- Maintain high standards of problem resolution and customer satisfaction, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Identify potential commercial clients through effective questioning.
- Process sales transactions accurately using a computer or cash register.
- Monitor for loss prevention concerns and report any unusual activities to management.
- Exhibit a customer-first approach in all interactions.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is required; relevant experience is strongly preferred. An Associate's degree in electronics or a related technical field is advantageous.
- 3-6 months of prior experience in device repair is preferred, demonstrating technical proficiency.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgments in various situations.
- Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to work independently on routine tasks, seeking guidance when necessary.
- Effective listening and communication skills with a focus on customer service; familiarity with customer service policies and procedures.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
The physical demands of this position include regular use of hands for handling electronic products, standing, walking, and sitting. Occasional lifting of 10-20 pounds regularly, with up to 50 pounds on occasion, may be required.
While performing job duties, employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
Employees will utilize various tools and equipment, including electrical cables, hand tools, testing equipment, and key cutting devices, while adhering to safety protocols.
Protective gear such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed shoes will be provided as necessary.
