Job Overview

The Billing Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the professional team by ensuring the accurate submission of primary and secondary claims to health insurance providers, as well as managing all payment processes and adjustments. This position is vital for upholding established medical billing standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for preparing all invoices with precision and thoroughness to guarantee compliance with third-party billing regulations for both manual and electronic submissions, under the guidance of a supervisor. This role must adhere to the established policies and procedures of Washington Hospital.
  2. Effectively communicates and reports information to the Business Office team and other personnel within Washington Hospital.
  3. Completes and demonstrates proficiency in all technical skills and procedures as assigned according to the established Billing Specialist Skills & Responsibilities.

Work Environment: In-Person

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Weekly Hours: 40
