Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist will deliver high-quality therapy services for patients and their caregivers with minimal supervision, adhering to the practices set forth by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, supervising rehabilitation technicians and physical therapy assistants (PTAs), and contributing to case management as needed, all while ensuring exceptional patient care. The Physical Therapist will foster positive interactions with facilities and clients, enhancing relationships with the community, prospective patients, and other staff members.

Key Job Functions:
  • Interpret and comply with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's practice act, adhering to regulations governing physical therapy practice.
  • Evaluate, treat, and oversee treatment for patients requiring physical therapy services deemed medically necessary by a physician.
  • Complete all required documentation (daily notes, charge tickets, communications to physicians, etc.) promptly and clearly to meet insurance and regulatory standards.
  • Participate actively in facility meetings as required by the Director of Rehabilitation Services.
  • Maintain open communication with staff, referring physicians, patients, and their caregivers.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of orthopedic, neuromuscular, industrial, and cumulative trauma disorders.
  • Possess knowledge and experience with modalities such as Interferential current (IFC), Ultrasound, TENS, NMES, BTE, and other thermal and superficial modalities.
  • Utilize time efficiently to meet productivity expectations set by administration.
  • May be requested to present in-service training to community organizations, physician offices, schools, or at community events.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises and progressive resistance exercises in accordance with the physician's care plan.
  • Communicate clinical findings following evaluations and relay those findings to the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
  • Maintain respectful communication channels with rehabilitation staff, physicians, patients, and family members at all times.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation Services.
Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program recognized by the APTA.
  • Must hold a valid license or be eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Membership in professional organizations is optional.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
USD $40.00/Hr.
