Position: Substance Use Prevention Specialist

Hope for Youth's OASAS accredited program is looking for a part-time Substance Use Prevention Specialist to work 21 hours weekly. This role entails delivering the 'Too Good for Drugs' curriculum in elementary educational settings and spearheading community awareness initiatives. The objective is to empower children with the skills necessary to resist substance use and enhance community awareness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comply with program guidelines and protocols
  • Execute evidence-based strategies
  • Facilitate educational sessions utilizing the 'Too Good For Drugs' Curriculum
  • Promote community awareness regarding substance misuse
  • Participate in training and meetings as needed
  • Perform additional tasks as required to fulfill program objectives
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role

This part-time position offers an hourly wage of $22.00 for 17.50 hours per week with some flexibility for weekend work.
