Child and Family Therapist
We are seeking a passionate and licensed therapist with expertise in trauma-informed, evidence-based practices. Hope For Youth is looking for a full-time therapist to contribute to a growing program dedicated to supporting children and families from various backgrounds. You will receive comprehensive training in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and the Strengthening Families Program (SFP), both recognized by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) as effective treatment modalities for children and families.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate in accordance with the policies and procedures outlined in the program practice guide and employee manual.
- Comply with state regulations and the applicable code of conduct.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance client functioning and achieve desired outcomes.
- Implement agency-identified Evidence-Based Interventions tailored to meet client needs.
- Provide Family and Individual therapy in the agency's office or in clients' homes as necessary.
- Empower the child and family by equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed for optimal family functioning.
- Complete documentation and related paperwork promptly.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling to meet program requirements.
- Participate in assigned trainings and professional development opportunities.
- Attend meetings and prepare reports as required.
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments to diagnose and/or establish medical necessity.
- Ensure service delivery is conducted in a trauma-informed, culturally, and linguistically competent manner.
- Develop treatment plans with the child and family to restore functioning and address behavioral health symptoms.
- Engage in treatment team discussions, case reviews, and other collaborative meetings.
- Work in partnership with referral resources and any other agencies involved with the family and the court.
- Perform developmental assessments when necessary and provide follow-up evaluations as needed.
- Support additional projects and locations; travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
- LMSW/LCSW/LMHC/LMFT, limited permits, Psy.D.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience working with children/adolescents and families.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with EHRs.
- Possess a valid NYS driver's license in good standing and access to a reliable vehicle during working days.
- Physical Requirements: ability to read/write reports and log entries, stand/sit/walk for extended periods, bend/stoop, kneel/squat, climb stairs, reach overhead, perform repetitive wrist/finger movements, and drive own vehicle.
Additional Information
This position offers a pay rate of $35.75/hour based on a 35-hour work week.
