Position: Substance Use Prevention SpecialistOur OASAS licensed program is in search of a part-time Substance Use Prevention Specialist to fulfill a 21-hour work week. This role encompasses delivering the 'Too Good for Drugs' curriculum in elementary educational settings and facilitating community awareness initiatives. The primary objective is to empower children with the necessary skills to resist substance use while enhancing community awareness.
Key Responsibilities:- Comply with program policies and guidelines
- Execute evidence-based intervention strategies
- Conduct educational sessions utilizing the 'Too Good For Drugs' curriculum
- Promote community awareness regarding substance abuse
- Participate in training sessions and meetings as required
- Perform additional duties as needed to fulfill program objectives
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- At least 1 year of experience working with children
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role
This part-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $22.00 for 17.50 hours per week, with some flexibility for weekend work.
