Position Overview:

The Technical Scrum Master will play a pivotal role in collaborating with product owners, engineers, and architects to effectively document requirements in Jira, encompassing Epics and Tasks. This position is essential in facilitating the Scrum process across the broader team while ensuring adherence to the Scrum framework. The Scrum Master will proactively identify and resolve potential or existing obstacles to team delivery, including cultural and logistical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business workflows and collaborate with the project team to enhance and implement improved processes.
  • Work closely with product owners to assist in both short-term and long-term release planning, ensuring a well-maintained and prioritized work backlog.
  • Support quality assurance and requirements validation by engaging with various stakeholders to understand their needs and providing insights during stakeholder interviews and requirements gathering sessions.
  • Lead regular Agile ceremonies to foster collaboration, transparency, and innovation, including Scrum team meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and user demonstrations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a technology-focused professional environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Requirements Analyst or Scrum Master within an Agile framework.
  • Proficiency in using requirements management tools such as Jira, GitLab, and Bitbucket.
  • Experience in supporting Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and phases.
  • Familiarity with requirements management methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both management and non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Possession of TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field.
  • Certification in IC Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the requirements traceability matrix.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities to provide technical support to IT development teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Certifications such as Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.

The salary for this position is determined by various factors, including location, education, experience, and specific contract requirements. The projected compensation range for this role is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 annually.

Work Environment:

Our people-first culture emphasizes flexibility and collaboration, whether in-person or remote. If this position is designated as remote or hybrid, you will occasionally work from a Booz Allen or client site facility. If onsite, you will collaborate with colleagues and clients in person as necessary for the role.
