Job Title: Power Grid Planning Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Power Grid Planning Engineer to join our team in MA/CT/NH. As a key member of our distribution planning group, you will be responsible for performing project lead and/or carrying out assignments requiring knowledge of subject matter, with experience associated with modeling and planning distribution lines and distribution substation facilities in an electric power system.

You will exhibit technical skills on the design of the electric power system in addition to exhibiting knowledge of utility electric power system model. You will provide support to Engineers representing the company regarding matters in distribution planning at the state public utility commissions and various state and regional entities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct area wide voltage and power factor studies and recommending findings
  • Collaborate with multiple cross-functional groups in developing medium and long-range planning solutions
  • Presents results to all levels of management as appropriate
Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering required, Electric Power Systems preferred. Higher degree is preferred
  • Three (3) years related experience in planning, design, and/or operations related to distribution line and distribution substation facilities, with knowledge of power system planning
Working Conditions:
  • Average salary $115,000 per year
  • Must hold a valid motor vehicle operator's license
