About the Role

Eversource is seeking a talented Electric Power Systems Specialist to join our team. This senior-level position involves providing distribution-focused subject matter expertise in DER power system studies and project development.

  • This is a unique opportunity to work on complex projects involving the modeling, analysis, and planning-level designs of distribution lines and substation facilities in an electric power system.">
  • You will be part of a team that represents the company on regional and national distribution committees regarding DER and distribution planning matters for North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC), New England Power Coordination Council (NPCC), and Independent System Operators of New England (ISO-NE).">

Main Responsibilities:

">

• Develop the distribution system power flow model to study the interconnection of DERs.

">

• Analyze proposed solutions associated with the integration of DER and its impact on the ISO-NE regional system.

">

• Prepare necessary documentation for the ISO-NE interconnection process.

">

• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to determine planning needs and propose plans.

">

• Conduct assessments and develop interconnection options or alternative solutions.

What You Need to Succeed

">

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.

">

• 5+ years of experience in related fields.

">

• Strong understanding of electrical engineering concepts and technical knowledge of power system modeling and simulation software.

">

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and persuasion skills.

">

• Knowledge of Eversource tariffs and technical standards.

">

The estimated annual salary for this position is $127,500-$145,000, plus incentive. We offer a competitive total rewards program and a range of benefits.
