Job Description

This entry-level engineering role involves performing design activities requiring a basic understanding of drawings, calculations, specifications, and industry standards and practices covering the assigned work.

You will assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, and requisitions, and develop professional work knowledge and abilities in one or more of the following areas: Substation Design, Substation Automation, Power Systems Analysis, Communications Systems, Electrical Control Systems, Protective Relaying, Transmission Systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform design activities requiring a basic understanding of drawings, calculations, specifications, and industry standards and practices covering the assigned work.
  2. Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, and requisitions.
  3. Develop professional work knowledge and abilities in one or more of the following areas: Substation Design, Substation Automation, Power Systems Analysis, Communications Systems, Electrical Control Systems, Protective Relaying, Transmission Systems.
  4. Responsible for complete and accurate record keeping and quality of all work performed.
  5. May be required to travel to support work.
  6. Other duties as required.

Requirements

Shall have a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited engineering program or an Associate Degree in Engineering with the appropriate experience at a Designer level.

The estimated salary range for this position is USD $73,507 - USD $115,232 per year.
