Job Summary:

Spurwink Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Project Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will play a vital role in providing support and services to individuals in crisis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to behavioral health and substance use disorder-related emergency calls, working closely with local Fire/EMS departments to provide critical support and services.
  • Assist with referrals to community-based treatment and recovery services, ensuring individuals receive the help they need to overcome challenges.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement to assess and respond to individuals in crisis, providing a compassionate and supportive approach.
  • Link individuals with further long-term peer and/or recovery coach services, promoting ongoing support and guidance.
  • Complete CradleME referrals for pregnant or postpartum women in need, providing essential support and resources.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health, substance use disorders, and co-occurring treatment services equivalent to completion of a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of related experience.
  • MHRT/C certification preferred; State of Maine CADC/LADC certification preferred, with minimum CADC required within 9 months of employment.
  • Valid State of Maine driver's license required.
  • Licensed EMS provider a plus.
