About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director of Operations to join our team at Community Choice Financial Family of Brands. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the success of our stores and teams by setting high performance standards and providing ongoing coaching and training to ensure our objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Development: Coach, lead, and develop all store employees to achieve new business and increase store growth by demonstrating knowledge of and training on systems, company standards, account management, recovery, job duties, and performance reports.
  • Marketing and Sales: Lead the charge and set the example for all store employees to identify local marketing strategies, use business-to-business partnership opportunities, obtain referrals, host and participate in community and in-store events to drive growth and build revenue.
  • Quality and Compliance: Enforce adherence to quality standards, procedures, and local and state laws and regulations. Audit loan/pawn agreements and transactions to ensure staff adherence to procedures and practices. Participate in audits and compliance reviews as directed by the corporate office or District Manager.
  • Security and Loss Prevention: Supervise and maintain office security, including cash management and loss prevention by verifying and documenting cash overages/shortages, vault, inventory, deposits, and expenses. Conduct proper opening and closing procedures.
  • Customer Service: Handle complex customer situations with integrity and professionalism.
  • Store Appearance and Maintenance: Monitor and maintain internal and external store appearance and address basic facilities needs, including scheduling maintenance services. This includes overseeing store planogram and ensuring seasonal and/or promotional marketing material are displayed properly.
  • Team Management: Develop work schedules in accordance with budget, workloads, and store needs. Ensure store is staffed for optimal performance. Participate in the selection, review, hiring, and retention of new employees.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum two years of experience and proven success in a supervisory or leadership role in retail, financial, service, or related industries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work phone, Point of Sale, Microsoft Office, and other systems
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (19 in Alabama)
  • Background check required (subject to applicable law)
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of this position, which frequently include: the ability to remain in a stationary position, including standing up to 90% of the time, the ability to move and transport up to 25 pounds, the ability to move about inside and outside of the store, and the operation of mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Associate degree or higher
  • Experience in check cashing, document verification, money order processing
