Position Overview:

As a Retail Operations Supervisor, you will utilize your managerial expertise to mentor, train, and lead your team to achieve excellence in their roles while maintaining our exceptional quality standards. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will act as their trusted assistant and oversee daily operations in their absence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide training, coaching, and supervision to store team members to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Evaluate financial transaction risks, accurately process loan and pawn applications, check cashing transactions, and ancillary products.
  • Foster customer relationships and conduct daily inbound and outbound call campaigns to generate new business, sustain store profitability, and enhance brand loyalty.
  • Maximize customer satisfaction by offering relevant ancillary products tailored to their needs.
  • Implement office security measures and execute proper opening and closing procedures, including vault and cash drawer management.
  • Oversee account management and recovery processes while prioritizing customer service to mitigate losses and charge-off accounts, including collection calls.
  • Ensure a compliant work environment by adhering to company policies and local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct store audits, generate reports, and compile financial data to ensure staff compliance.
  • Maintain the internal and external appearance of the store, addressing basic facility needs and coordinating maintenance services.
  • Assist in managing store operations and daily activities in the absence of the General Manager.
  • Thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, efficiently handling multiple tasks to meet both individual and team performance standards.
  • Commit to a full-time work schedule with regular, in-person attendance, including weekends. A full-time schedule for this role encompasses a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one year of supervisory, key holder, or relevant leadership experience.
  • A minimum of one year of customer service, retail, and/or sales experience.
  • Hands-on experience in cash management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using phone systems, Point of Sale, Microsoft Office, and other relevant systems.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (19 in Alabama).
  • Background check required (subject to applicable law).
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, which frequently include remaining stationary for extended periods, moving and transporting up to 25 pounds, and operating mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in check cashing, document verification, and money order processing.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus and may be required for certain locations.
