POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Operations Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the HR department by providing administrative and professional assistance in various functional areas.

This is a full-time entry-level position that offers opportunities for learning and development within a vibrant HR team.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including communication with candidates, overseeing online onboarding tasks, preparing welcome kits, and ensuring proper setup.
  • Facilitate the employee exit process.
  • Process changes to employee personnel data, including promotions, terminations, and organizational adjustments, in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain and organize employee personnel records to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Handle incoming unemployment claims and employment verification requests.
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely updates in the employee timekeeping system.
  • Assist in conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Stay informed about new HR regulations and policies, including Collective Bargaining Agreements for union employees.
  • Manage HR supplies and materials inventory.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives in collaboration with the HR Director.
  • Assist in organizing and executing various employee programming events.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting requirements such as EEO-1 and OSHA.
  • Respond to general staff inquiries.
  • Maintain human resource records in line with retention policies.
  • Uphold confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Utilize HRIS for ad-hoc reporting and data management.
  • Complete employment verification requests.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to enhance task efficiency and project completion.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred candidates will have at least one year of experience in a human resources role, including relevant internships. Knowledge of employment laws such as FLSA, FMLA, and Title VII is advantageous.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with organizational and analytical abilities, are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, and experience with HR software is a plus.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of managing multiple projects effectively while maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality regarding employee information.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including the possibility of working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
