As a vital member of the surgical team, the Operating Room Specialist collaborates closely with the perioperative registered nurse to deliver tailored, age-appropriate care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Graduation from an accredited technical program
Preferred:
N/A
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Successful completion of all Orientation and Departmental Programs with documentation
Scheduling Requirements:
- Shift working: Days
- Typical hours: 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Full-Time
Essential Functions:
- Foster a safe environment that promotes optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and ensure that patients' physiological responses to surgical interventions are within expected parameters in the surgical suite and throughout the perioperative process.
- Work in tandem with the perioperative registered nurse to provide individualized, age-specific care to patients.
- Maintain a safe environment that supports favorable patient outcomes and monitors physiological responses during surgical procedures.
