We are seeking a Strategic HR Director for Operations to join our team at Insight Global in Minneapolis.

Job Overview:

The Strategic HR Director for Operations will be responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resources function at our plant, which has a team of around 100 individuals. This role will involve developing and implementing recruitment strategies, conducting exit interviews, and analyzing wage and salary data to make recommendations for a competitive compensation plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Selection: Develops and implements recruitment strategies and materials, selection instruments and techniques, and works closely with all departments to conduct effective and efficient recruiting, testing, and interviewing programs.
  • Employee Relations: Conducts and analyzes exit interviews, recommends changes where deficiencies are identified, and ensures employees are knowledgeable about company benefits and know when/how to enroll in them.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Conducts job evaluations, analyzes wage and salary data, and makes recommendations for a competitive compensation plan, and coordinates and conducts orientation and benefits training.
  • HR Administration: Maintains all personnel records and Human Resources Information System records in an accurate, legal, and compliant manner, and runs/analyzes reports from the database.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Conducts investigations into allegations of internal EEO complaints, prepares a summary of the investigative findings, and reports same to the Human Resources Director with a recommendation, if warranted, for administrative action.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree from an accredited university with 5+ years of experience working in HR, ideally 3 years of manufacturing human resources experience within a 24/7 shift operation environment.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency with computer applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, HRIS, strong communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to problem solve and deal with people at multiple organizational levels both internal and external.
  • Travel: Ability to travel once every 6 weeks to our sister site in Mendota, IL, which has a generalist and staff of 40.
