Job DescriptionSenior Project Coordinator - Marine Operations Overview

This role will deliver project management guidance and expertise for various modifications to Floating Storage and Regasification Units (FSRUs) driven by global development initiatives. The Senior Project Coordinator will support development projects in achieving safety, environmental, and financial goals while providing project management assistance throughout the project lifecycle, including collaboration with vessel operations and commercial teams.

Senior Project Coordinator - Marine Operations Responsibilities
  • Prioritize safety in all work planning and execution, ensuring adherence to company Core Values in daily operations.
  • Manage projects involving significant upgrades to vessel systems from initial concept through to commissioning, including on-site oversight as necessary.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of marine engineering and demonstrate readiness to lead and manage projects beyond core expertise.
  • Adhere to the Stage Gate Process for all project planning and execution, including the preparation of Stage Gate presentations for Senior Management.
  • Guide the Scheduler in the development of project timelines and oversee monitoring during planning and execution phases.
  • Generate cost estimates related to various project elements and track them throughout the planning and execution stages.
  • Monitor the financial status of assigned work scopes and provide accurate forecasts to complete (FTC) for project budget projections.
  • Facilitate and engage in activities related to project risk analysis, evaluation, remediation, and data integration.
  • Conduct analysis, generate reports, and review contractual obligations concerning project controls and scheduling.
  • Develop, supervise, and coordinate both basic and detailed engineering while defining equipment requirements to meet project specifications in line with design criteria and compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Prepare project work packages within established timelines, ensuring clear and concise descriptions of tasks along with precise technical details, material specifications, and specific class and certification requirements with support from project and engineering teams.
Senior Project Coordinator - Marine Operations Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in FSRU operations, offshore oil and gas sectors, or marine industries with shipyard project management experience.
  • Experience in LNG-related operations is preferred.
  • Certifications from recognized project management organizations are required.
  • Familiarity with industry standards for vessel design, including Classification Rules, Flag, and Regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with proficiency in computer applications including MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera.
