Installation Technician 2

N4 Information Systems is seeking a skilled Installation Technician 2 to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for installing, terminating, and testing cabling and cabling components in support of our Information Technology infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Install, terminate, and test category 6/6e cabling, large pair count copper riser cabling, fiber riser cabling, and pre-terminated fiber station cabling.
- Install and test work area wall plates and/or Passive Optical Network (PON) optical network terminals (ONTs).
- Install communication space components, including cabinets, racks, fiber/copper patch panels, wire management, grounding, and other components used in communication spaces.
- Install copper and fiber patch cords in communication spaces and at end-user locations.
- Work from schematics, diagrams, written, and verbal instructions.
- Diagnose and isolate malfunctions and make necessary repairs.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
- Participate in special projects as required.
- Generally, 3 to 5 years of experience in a related technical field.
- Associates degree or specialized training in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, and/or work experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD (Entry on Duty).
- BICSI Installer Training Copper and Fiber Level 2 preferred.
