Job Summary

Fusion Technology LLC is seeking a highly skilled Cabling Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Cable Installation Support Services (CISS) program, you will be responsible for installing and testing premise network cabling systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, label, and test premise cabling, connections, patch panels, equipment enclosures/cabinets, cable tray, Protective Distribution System (PDS) conduit, and associated hardware.
  • Update cable run sheets and other documentation as required.
  • Read and interpret system installation drawings and design packages, and apply that knowledge to cabling installations.
  • Install LC, MTRJ, SC, and RJ45 connector termination, and test fiber-optic and copper cabling systems.
  • Label cables and associated hardware according to standards and cable run sheets.
  • Install various types of cable tray, Protective Distribution Systems (PDS), and EMT conduit up to 4 inches.
  • Fusion splice fiber optic cable.
Requirements
  • Highly proficient in the installation and test of premise cabling, connections, patch cords, patch panels, equipment enclosures/cabinets, cable tray, PDS conduit, and associated hardware.
  • Demonstrated ability in reading and interpreting system installation drawings and design packages, and applying that knowledge to the cabling installation, and promoting a safe work environment and implementing safe work practices.
  • Proficient in the proper handling, installation, of LC, MTRJ, SC, and RJ45 connector termination, and testing of fiber-optic and copper cabling systems.
  • Proficient in the installation of various types of cable tray, PDS, and EMT conduit up to 4 inches.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the installation of copper and fiber-optic cable plants.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Top-Secret government security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) Installer 1 (INST1), BICSI Installer 2, Copper (INSTC), and BICSI Installer 2, Optical Fiber (INSTF) certification.
