Overview

US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities is seeking a highly skilled and organized Front Office Coordinator to join our team. This role will be based in our Dallas, TX location and will support our front office operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate front office operations, including patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling of appointments and procedures.
  • Manage patient flow, ensuring efficient and effective care.
  • Answer telephone calls, redirect calls as necessary, and assist callers with questions or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate, real-time physician and clinic schedules.
  • Enter patient insurance and demographic information into the patient accounting system.
  • Review patient balances and insurance coverage levels to determine patient financial responsibility.
  • Perform check-out tasks, including scheduling follow-up appointments and printing educational materials and patient visit summaries.
  • Balance receipts daily and reconcile daily work.
  • Create office-based claims.
  • Confirm referrals are current and in the chart.
  • Assist in retrieving in-office procedure precertifications.
  • Maintain the Workflow dashboard, including missing slips and no-shows.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of patient registration and insurance verification procedures.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type patient information.
  • Skill in operating a computer, copy machine, fax machine, scanner, and multi-line telephone.
  • Skill in multi-tasking and preparedness to cover other front office and clinic functions as necessary.
  • Ability to speak clearly, concisely, and compassionately.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.

Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
