Administrative Assistant

Job Summary:
The Front Desk Coordinator is a vital member of the Physical Therapy Department at St. Luke's University Health Network. This role is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verifications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and filing systems.
- Process pre-certifications and authorizations as required.
- Schedule appointments and maintain a full department schedule.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff at all levels.
- Perform various administrative tasks, including word processing, filing, and data entry.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Access).
- Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred.
Working Conditions:
This role requires sitting for up to eight hours per day, standing for up to eight hours per day, and frequent use of hands and fingers. The ability to see and hear normally is also required.
