Position Overview:
The Construction Project Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting various functions associated with project management within the electrical construction sector.

This position involves aiding in the development of project plans, relevant specifications, and collaborating with senior management to provide comprehensive project assistance.

With two distinct divisions, Sturgeon Electric offers both power line construction and commercial/industrial electrical services, establishing itself as a complete electrical service provider.


The Commercial and Industrial (C&I) division focuses on large-scale electrical projects, including telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution, and high voltage distribution service and maintenance.

Sturgeon Electric is experienced in executing projects using Integrated Lean Project Delivery methods and provides pre-construction services, in-house pre-fabrication, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret relevant construction drawings and specifications.

• Assist in reviewing plans and specifications, creating a checklist of contract elements requiring regular oversight.

• Compile a list of items that subcontractors must submit for approval before commencing work.

• Support cost estimation and project scheduling as necessary.

• Maintain accurate project records.

• Aid in preparing statements of work, submittals, change management documentation, and necessary reporting on a daily and weekly basis.

• Promote safety in construction activities and ensure adherence to safety regulations.

• Inspect equipment, materials, workmanship, and completed construction.

• Monitor work progress in the field.

• Observe ongoing work to ensure compliance with procedures and specifications.

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Essential functions of this role are to be carried out in a designated office or field location.

• Understand and adhere to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy, along with other relevant professional and ethical standards.

Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction process related to commercial electrical operations or general construction.


• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; a combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.

• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a practical approach while maintaining attention to detail.

• Competitive salary range based on experience, paid weekly. Salary ranges are provided in good faith and may be adjusted based on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
