Job Summary

Calahan Construction is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support our commercial construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of project goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to project teams, including data entry, document management, filing, and proofreading.
  • Contract and Compliance Management: Verify subcontractor contracts, bonds, and insurance requirements. Monitor expiration dates and facilitate renewals as needed. Ensure all documentation meets project and company standards.
  • Project Documentation: Manage and distribute contract status reports, cost reports, and other critical project documents. Maintain and organize construction drawings, reports, and other project documentation.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Process and track submittals, RFIs, and contracts. Ensure subcontractor licenses and insurance certificates are current and compliant.
  • Project Financials: Assist with project tasks such as change orders, and PCO logs.
  • Closeout Processes: Organize and compile closeout packages in collaboration with project teams. Ensure all final documentation is complete and accurately filed.
  • Meeting Support: Attend project meetings, take accurate meeting minutes, and track action items. Facilitate communication between project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to streamline project processes and improve project outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Education: High school diploma is required; an associate's degree or higher in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in project coordination, preferably within the commercial construction industry.
  • Skills: Experience with project management software and tools such as MS Office Suite, Excel, and Adobe Pro. Familiarity with RFI submittals, contract management, and procurement processes.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: $58,000 - $70,000 per year (depending on experience)
  • PTO
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30 to 4:00
  • Full-time position
  • Work Location: Lakewood, CO.
  • Employees are paid weekly
