Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The main duty of the Beverage Server is to guarantee complete guest satisfaction by delivering and serving beverages to patrons, ensuring a delightful experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Warmly greets and welcomes all guests in a friendly and professional manner.

- Provides prompt cocktail service with a courteous demeanor.

- Maintains cleanliness in assigned areas, ensuring no empty glasses or bottles are left unattended.

- Actively seeks out service opportunities to enhance guest experience.

- Addresses and resolves guest complaints effectively.

- Answers guest inquiries and possesses knowledge about property events and attractions.

- Completes all side work at assigned station, including stocking coffee, glasses, sugar, cream, and coffee dispensers.

- Delivers quick (20 minutes or less round time), friendly, and professional beverage service to casino guests; adeptly carries full trays during rounds.

- Takes drink orders, communicates with bartenders, assists in drink preparation, and presents beverages to guests.

- Keeps workstation clean and well-stocked.

- Handles monetary transactions according to established procedures.

- Monitors guest alcohol consumption and intervenes as necessary, following guidelines.

- Acts as a goodwill ambassador while working and during customer relations events; may appear in promotional materials.

- Promotes casino events and programs actively.

- Collaborates closely with the Total Rewards Center to encourage new card sign-up initiatives.

- Works harmoniously with colleagues, including beverage servers, bartenders, bar backs, beverage supervisors, and slots supervisors.

- Provides personalized service, utilizing guest names whenever possible.

- Resolves service issues in accordance with established guidelines.

- Adheres to attendance policies and complies with regulatory, departmental, and company standards.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • One year of experience in a high-volume cocktail service environment.
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a role focused on direct guest interaction.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to initiate and engage in conversations in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Must maintain a professional and appealing appearance to engage guests effectively.
  • Availability to work any day of the week and at scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to collaborate well with co-workers and function as part of a team.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Knowledge of tray service and cocktail ingredients is required.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, including nights, weekends, holidays, and potential overtime.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Continuous standing and walking with a tray weighing up to 20 lbs throughout the shift.

Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs.

Must be able to work in high temperatures during summer months.

Must be able to stand for the entire shift.

Access to service areas for beverage order pickups is required.

Ability to communicate over the phone in a loud environment.

Must be able to stoop, bend, and reach.

Manual dexterity is necessary for writing drink orders, preparing drinks, and garnishes.

Must be able to listen and respond to visual and auditory cues.

Ability to manage the demands of multiple customers simultaneously.
