Overview:

MetaOption LLC is a well-established engineering firm seeking to enhance its team with a Senior Mechanical Engineer PE / Project Manager. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in HVAC and plumbing design, contributing to a variety of projects across multiple sectors.


Position Highlights:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce AutoCAD and/or Revit documentation to fulfill MEP engineering requirements for diverse building types, including commercial, educational, healthcare, and residential projects, with a focus on HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Oversee project management tasks for both minor and major initiatives, including schedule creation, resource allocation, performance monitoring, and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Maintain and organize all documentation related to mechanical engineering, along with general project records.
  • Review mechanical design submissions and conduct site visits as necessary to resolve any arising issues or inquiries.
  • Deliver project status updates to various stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Foster new business opportunities by cultivating relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in HVAC or plumbing design and project management; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Possession of a current Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential, with familiarity in HVAC modeling software such as TRACE700, CHVAC7, and AIRMaster being highly beneficial.
  • Experience in HVAC and plumbing design for commercial, multifamily, educational, healthcare, and institutional buildings is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with a diverse range of individuals, from subcontractors to project stakeholders.
