Job Overview

Are you a finance professional with exceptional analytical skills and a drive for enhancing financial performance? Zeus Fire & Security is on the lookout for a dedicated Financial Planning and Analysis Lead to become an integral part of our innovative team. In this position, you will oversee the financial planning and analysis functions, generate comprehensive financial reports, and play a crucial role in strategic decision-making across the organization.

Role Responsibilities: The Financial Planning and Analysis Lead will be tasked with managing financial planning and budgeting initiatives, scrutinizing financial statements and reports, constructing financial models, preparing forecasts, and ensuring compliance with monthly banking requirements. This role will also support mergers and acquisitions analysis and conduct necessary research and analysis as directed by company leadership. You will be responsible for all monthly financial reporting and the development and execution of budgeting and forecasting processes throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will excel under pressure, demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, and consistently deliver high-quality financial analyses. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Finance.

Key Duties Include:

  • Generate monthly management and bank compliance reports, including the creation of management discussion & analysis (MD&A).
  • Perform analyses and reporting for corporate functions, including monthly financial assessments, reforecasting, variance analysis, pipeline analysis, and visual summaries of business unit financial performance.
  • Assist in corporate consolidation analyses and reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to support bank and management reporting.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead the establishment of a formal annual budgeting and rolling forecasting process across the organization, providing training and guidance on budgeting tools and models.
  • Drive ongoing improvements, standardization, and automation of the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Facilitate the implementation of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting tools.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and models.
  • Conduct various ad-hoc financial analyses, including the development of financial models, customer assessments, job performance evaluations, sales performance reviews, operating expenses analysis, and other areas as required.
  • Manage or conduct periodic or ad hoc financial data analyses, queries, reconciliations, and reports as necessary to meet external client or audit requests.
  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing financial processes and implementing changes to achieve efficiencies and the company's objectives in project billing, contract compliance, reporting, indirect cost recovery, and financial analysis.
  • Assist with mergers and acquisitions through financial analysis and integration support.
  • Collaborate effectively with the CFO, VP of Finance, Controller, and Corporate Development teams.
  • Prepare and maintain process documentation, control narratives, and training materials for new hires.
  • Supervise and mentor FP&A staff analysts.
  • Uphold company confidentiality at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and graphical presentations) and MS PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • 8+ years of supervisory experience in a comparable role.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
