Key Responsibilities:
The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the functions of the Accounting Department and will report directly to the Controller/Accounting Operations. This position involves performing various accounting and analytical tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Preparation of standard journal entries, account analyses, and reconciliations to support monthly financial closings.
  • Verification and reporting of daily cash receipts and banking activities.
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Recording and reconciling daily cash transactions, communicating with relevant teams regarding any missing documentation.
  • Processing travel and expense reports from divisions for payroll reimbursement.
  • Recording fixed asset entries and calculating depreciation within the accounting software.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with accounting software, particularly Great Plains, is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of journal entry structures and a comprehensive grasp of financial statements.
  • Ability to work independently, follow directions, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills.
