Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Advertising Specialist to join our team at Advisors Excel. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all advertising communications and marketing materials comply with state and federal laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance Review and Analysis: Thoroughly review and analyze advertising communications, promotional materials, consumer-oriented marketing materials, sales trainings, and seminar programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Marketing Material Evaluation: Evaluate marketing materials with a discerning eye, considering potential risks and ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Compliance Communication: Effectively communicate any necessary compliance revisions and provide constructive feedback to internal teams.
  • Marketing Collateral Development: Assist in the development of marketing collateral and programs to aid in overall effectiveness.
  • IAR Supervision and Onboarding: Assist with IAR supervision and onboarding.
  • Compliance and Project Updates: Communicate pertinent compliance and project-related information to internal teams.
  • Database Management: Efficiently convey information through the internal database/tracking system for marketing materials to illustrate the completion status of projects and provide updates on outstanding projects.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understand and stay updated on relevant industry regulations, guidelines, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience: Two or more years' experience working in the financial services industry, specifically the securities industry.
  • Marketing Material Review: Experience with reviewing and editing diverse marketing materials; or have held positions demanding a high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving and Researching Skills: Strong problem-solving and researching skills.
  • Relationship-Building Skills: Exceptional relationship-building skills and ability to navigate sensitive conversations.
  • Communication Skills: Confident, professional, and articulate written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated; ability to independently manage projects and tasks.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills; capacity to manage heavy workload while navigating a variety of competing, ever-changing priorities.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Ability to gain knowledge and understanding of compliance requirements and regulations.

  • FINRA, SEC, and State Rules Knowledge: Knowledge of FINRA, SEC, and various state rules and regulations.
  • Series 65 or Equivalent: Series 65 or interested in obtaining in the future.
