Position Overview & Responsibilities:
Position Overview:
This Talent Acquisition Specialist role is integral to the Bureau of Human Resources. The primary responsibilities include posting job advertisements, screening applications, and collaborating with management to ensure timely recruitment while adhering to established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Collaborating with Bureau Chiefs and managers to identify required skills and competencies, and developing effective screening tools. Crafting job postings, setting application deadlines, and reviewing candidate submissions. Preparing and sending communications to candidates regarding application status and interview processes. Guiding candidates on job requirements and procedures for employment. Supplying hiring departments with applications and supporting documents for qualified candidates. Assisting in the development of interview questions and evaluating interview outcomes for compliance. Overseeing the interview selection process to ensure proper documentation and addressing any issues that arise. Maintaining a vacancy and applicant tracking system to ensure timely notifications and completion of the hiring process. Organizing a recruitment filing system. Building relationships with community organizations to promote the agency and attract diverse candidates. Participating in job fairs and workshops to recruit candidates for challenging positions. Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
At least one year of experience in managing or administering human resources functions. Relevant education may substitute for experience as determined by the agency. Transcripts are required for educational qualifications to be considered.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in recruiting and filling open positions. Familiarity with recruitment software and processes.Post-Offer/Pre-employment Requirements:
Kansas Tax Clearance Certificate required in accordance with state regulations. All selected candidates must apply for a Tax Clearance Certificate promptly following the offer.-
