Job Overview

COMPENSATION: The hourly wage for this role ranges from $21.00 to $21.57, influenced by various factors such as the applicant's skills, qualifications, relevant degrees and certifications, previous work experience, market data, and other pertinent considerations. Additional earnings may include bonuses or commissions where applicable. This reflects Aramark's good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position at the time of posting.

If selected, the employee will hold an "at-will position," and Aramark retains the right to adjust base salary (along with any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time and for any reason, including, but not limited to, individual performance, team performance, and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities


• The essential functions and responsibilities of this position may differ by Aramark location based on client needs and business requirements.

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following production guidelines and standardized recipes.

• Organize workstation with all necessary ingredients and equipment.

• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.

• Safely utilize various utensils, including knives.

• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.

• Employ various cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming on meats, vegetables, and other food items.

• Present, garnish, and portion food according to established standards.

• Store food properly by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.

• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.

• Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, clients, and co-workers.

• Follow Aramark safety policies and procedures, ensuring accurate food safety and sanitation practices.

• Safeguard company assets.

Qualifications


• Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role is required.

• Proven knowledge of fundamental food preparation principles, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations, including accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage.

• Must be able to obtain food safety certification.

• Basic math and counting skills are essential.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.

This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may also be required.
