Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Oracle Database Engineer to lead our team in administering Oracle 19c databases and delivering Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) capabilities in support of the AFRL mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Oracle database administrators and engineers in administering Oracle 19c databases.
  • Analyze and optimize database performance utilizing indexes and dynamic tables to improve application response time.
  • Maintain, upgrade, test and implement patches and security measures to safeguard Oracle databases.
  • Modify existing database structures to support new requirements for government applications.
Requirements
  • Ability to organize and lead a technical team.
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Software Engineering, Computer of Information Systems, or related field.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience including 7+ years Oracle database administration experience.
  • 1–5 years of experience working with large scale applications.
  • Experience with SQL, PL/SQL and OS programming shell scripting.
  • Experience with database structures, table maintenance and familiarity with data manipulation.
  • Experience working within an Agile/Kanban development cycle.
  • Current IAT II or higher 8570 certification (e.g. Security+).
  • Active Secret Clearance.
Desired Skills
  • Previous experience with the USAF.
  • Experience with performing DISA STIG checks.
  • Experience with Oracle backup and recovery using RMAN and Data Pump.
  • Experience with administrating Oracle Access Manager (OAM), APEX, and Oracle Analytics Suite (OAS).
  • Demonstrated experience with UNIX system commands (e.g., mv, cp, rm, grep, vi) and the ability to troubleshoot system, application, and network issues.
