Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Front Desk Receptionist to provide exceptional support to our patients and healthcare team. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcoming patients and answering questions and concerns
  • Scheduling appointments and managing patient schedules
  • Registering new patients and updating existing patient demographics
  • Maintaining and updating patient records using data entry, faxing, and scanning
  • Collecting deductibles, coinsurance, balances, copays, and selling OTC items
  • Checking AR/AP changes and updating records accordingly
  • Maintaining business office inventory and equipment
  • Preparing end-of-day reports, deposit slips, and uploading to shared files
  • Reviewing billing claims and denials and collecting necessary information
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, and the public
  • 2+ years' admin support experience in a medical environment (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge of health insurance, pre-authorization, insurance verification, medical terminology, CPT codes, and ICD-9 codes (preferred)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding work environment
  • Strong work ethic and professionalism
  • Team mentality, flexibility, and willingness to learn
  • Effective communication, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
