Medical Office Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Front Desk Receptionist to provide exceptional support to our patients and healthcare team. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Welcoming patients and answering questions and concerns
- Scheduling appointments and managing patient schedules
- Registering new patients and updating existing patient demographics
- Maintaining and updating patient records using data entry, faxing, and scanning
- Collecting deductibles, coinsurance, balances, copays, and selling OTC items
- Checking AR/AP changes and updating records accordingly
- Maintaining business office inventory and equipment
- Preparing end-of-day reports, deposit slips, and uploading to shared files
- Reviewing billing claims and denials and collecting necessary information
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, and the public
- 2+ years' admin support experience in a medical environment (preferred but not required)
- Knowledge of health insurance, pre-authorization, insurance verification, medical terminology, CPT codes, and ICD-9 codes (preferred)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding work environment
- Strong work ethic and professionalism
- Team mentality, flexibility, and willingness to learn
- Effective communication, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
