Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Admissions Clerk to join our team at Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation. As an Admissions Clerk, you will be responsible for performing registration, admission, and scheduling functions for all inpatient and outpatient services provided by our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, update, and input patient demographics, history, and insurance information into our computer system.
  • Maintain or establish patient eligibility and primary provider on all patient encounters.
  • Ensure appointment times are timely and communicate with clinics regarding patient appointment and registration status.
  • Assist patients with appointment questions and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • One year of office experience.
  • One year in a customer service position.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Type 40 words per minute and 10-key experience.
  • Experience working with Medicaid or commercial insurance preferred.
  • Held a job for a minimum of one year continuously.
  • Yup'ik speaker preferred.
