Position Overview: A full-time Operations Supervisor is sought for a prestigious home furnishing enterprise. The ideal candidate should possess a background in the home goods sector or have relevant experience with intricate textiles and apparel. This role will primarily operate from a warehouse environment, with additional responsibilities in a showroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically plan and oversee the production timeline to fulfill customer requirements and guarantee timely deliveries.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure production methods align with design criteria.
  • Lead the development of new products, guiding the creation of innovative collections, evaluating samples, colors, and techniques.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities for team members.
  • Establish and enforce quality assurance protocols to maintain product excellence.
  • Monitor production performance, adjusting schedules to enhance efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to processes to boost productivity and reduce expenses.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, product testing, and organizational policies.
  • Work in conjunction with other departments to facilitate seamless production and delivery operations.
  • Maintain precise production documentation and analyze performance reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Business Management, Operations Management, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in product management and development within a comparable manufacturing context.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities, with a focus on motivating and developing personnel.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills, adept at managing multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities and a track record of implementing process enhancements.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, G-Suite, and production management software.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Oversee custom orders for high-end clients.
  • Act as a liaison between sales and design teams for bespoke projects.
  • Manage the custom design approval process from initial concept through to production.
  • Provide production insights and capabilities to the sales team.
  • Collaborate with various departments to streamline production workflows.
  • Track the status of purchase orders and maintain communication with suppliers.
  • Ensure prompt deliveries for both standard and custom orders.
  • Supervise the development of new product lines and samples.
  • Maintain comprehensive databases and production records.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to address defects and ensure sample organization.
  • Assist the production head with inventory and performance reports.

Job Skills and Classifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in international homeware production or a related field.
  • Experience in managing administrative support and production workflows.
  • Understanding of production timelines, processes, and lead times.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
