Key Responsibilities- Develop and Improve Mortgage Forecasts: Create and maintain accurate and reliable mortgage forecasts, indices, and business scenarios to provide valuable insights to our clients, policymakers, and the mortgage industry.
- Collaborate with Research Teams: Work closely with research teams and Model Risk functions to ensure our models are accurate, of the highest operational quality, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and rules.
- Support Model Compliance: Produce established model documentation and track and report on model and forecast performance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Embed Model Risk Controls: Work with other team members and model risk functions to embed model risk controls into our processes.
- 5+ Years of Experience: Possess at least 5 years of related professional experience in economic analysis, modeling, and forecasting.
- Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a similar field.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrate experience in economic analysis modeling and forecasting, working with technical and non-technical partners, and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SAS.
- Industry Knowledge: Have knowledge of relational databases and SQL, as well as experience in the financial services/banking industry, including awareness of standard model management processes.
- Analytic Engineering Mindset: Possess an analytic engineering mindset with experience in GenAI, Git/Version Control, JIRA, and SDLC.
- Cloud-Based Data Analytics: Have experience with cloud-based data analytics.
- Project Management: Demonstrate experience in managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously to meet outcomes within desired timelines.
