Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Digital Engineering Expert to join our team as a Model-Based Systems Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with DARPA Program Managers and other high-level personnel to develop and implement digital engineering frameworks and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Manage Digital Engineering Frameworks
    • Design and implement Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and processes to accelerate complex system design, evaluation, and fielding.
  • Translate User Requirements into Technology Objectives
    • Identify and translate user requirements into specific technology/system research and development objectives.
  • Define System Architectures and Performance Requirements
    • Define system architectures and supporting subsystem performance requirements; and generate transition agreements.
  • Conduct Quantitative Analyses and Trade-Off Studies
    • Conduct quantitative analyses of system mission requirements as they pertain to the development of advanced technologies; evaluate alternatives and trade-offs; conduct cost-benefit analyses; and investigate compatibility, interoperability, and integration with existing systems.
  • Support Program Experimentation and Testing
    • Support program experimentation and testing efforts, including preparation of experiment/test plans; coordination with performers, government agents, ranges, and test facilities; implementation and inspection of safety requirements within the time frame requested.
  • Develop Documentation and Briefing Materials
    • Develop and prepare documentation and accompanying briefing materials for senior management and stakeholders within DARPA as well as the services and industry.
  • Assist in Technology Transition
    • Assist in the development and transition of technology and systems to the DoD and commercial user community by supporting the activities of on-going and future work and through familiarity with the interaction of the technology/system program and the respective community at large.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • BS in Engineering or Science field and five (5) years of Model-Based Systems Engineering experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • BS in Engineering field and at least 8 years of experience, or MS in Engineering or Science field and at least 5 years of experience.
    • Active TS clearance.
    • Military and/or DARPA program support experience.
